Happy Easter one and all. I hope it’s filled with family and friends and laughter and as much chocolate as you can consume without throwing up!

Brunch tomorrow with my new grandson, and then friends in the evening. Bliss.

I am currently rehearsing GUTTED – a visceral piece of writing which is challenging and rewarding in equal measure (see the video clip above). I am Bridie Prospect, the mother of four boys in a dysfunctional South London family – and Rikki Beadle Blair wrote and is directing the piece.

Stratford East is one of the most beautiful theatres in the country, and the work ethic there reminds me why I chose this profession. I am LOVING the process and the company I am working with. We only play for a month so if you want to see some fascinating ‘out there’ theatre book now, ‘cos I have a feeling we’re going to be the hot ticket. I hope so anyway. It is important and vibrant art.

In other news the audio work expands, and Big Finish have eight new stories lined up for The Doctor and Leela (one of them written by Nigel Fairs and me). And a second exciting writing project which I am simply not allowed to talk about yet, although I am bursting!!!

MY GAY BEST FRIEND has one more performance in this country, before we go to America, and that is at the Lowry in Manchester on July 21st. (click here to buy tickets)

May the sun shine metaphorically on your life, even if it isn’t managing it meteorically.

With love Louise
