If this is being 60…bring it on!

My darling brother organised a fabulous party for me at Quaglino’s with my very nearest and dearest on the 20th. Eldest son flew in from Egypt especially, youngest son also showed, all the way from Maidstone! Darling niece surprised me from the south of France, plus one of her sisters who flew into England that morning, and 25 other people, friends and family… each one dear to my heart. I can honestly say one of the best nights of my life.

Last Friday I worked with Tom Baker, recording a story for BIG FINISH, (I get to meet the Daleks, but don’t tell anyone, supposed to be a secret!) and the weekend was also spent with Doctor Who fans. Derek Hambley organised a wonderful birthday celebration…we had the BEST of times. A special thank you to Glen Allen who conjured up the most wonderful DVD trip down memory lane www.glenallen.co.uk

Ian Fraser has recently done a photo session with me and produced a special birthday photo to be used only on the Easter weekend. Derek printed them up and with his usual generosity produced more than we needed. I would like to ask the guys who were there if they would mind me using the residue for charity…

The charity I have chosen is Nottingham CYF project www.nottscyf.co.uk I recently met the young woman who runs it, and am so impressed by her work. The Variety Club have promised her a new van (the one she drives at the moment, although very endearing, is on its last legs) but it is conditional on her raising £7,000…. And that’s what I intend to make happen. I can start with selling these limited print photos, and… watch this space, because there are one or two Dr Who related items to auction coming soon, ALL proceeds to CYF.

Tomorrow I intend to completely chill, picnicking with the neighbours, walking the dog, doing some gentle weeding in my chaotic garden and maybe even sleeping a bit…

On Tuesday my keep fit regime starts…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy holidays, love L x
