Mine has started with rehearsals for ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR for The Mill at Sonning, opening on 22nd January. I’d forgotten what a brilliant play it is. My character is Marion, a right old lush, which is ironic as I haven’t had a drop of alcohol since December 31st!

My year has also started with two Dr Who conventions (one at Barking yesterday, and one in Plymouth next Sunday 19th at the Copthorne Hotel, Armada Way). The gift that keeps giving!

The Offies have their awards ceremony early March, but the votes are to be in by mid-February.

Lots more Big Finish adventures being released now, one a month with Tom and me. The great man himself turns 80 very shortly. So I’m taking this opportunity to say how glad I am that he and I have had the opportunity to work with Big Finish alongside each other over the last couple of years, and what a joy it has been. Happy Birthday, you are surely the grand senator of that iconic programme, Tom.

Other news includes… A QUIET COURAGE produced by Thorny Devils, will be doing the rounds of short film festivals. They very kindly gave us a private showing this week. I was knocked out. The production values are astonishing. I’m very proud to be a part of it.

Possibly shooting a film in Hungary this summer, more on that when it is solidly in the diary.

For local people… FRINGE AT THE BEACON is starting up again with Paksie Vernon on February 28th. She has the voice of an angel, with just a touch of Aretha Franklyn… only £10… tempted? You should be…

As you’re on the website, please do take time to browse around. New photos and links all available. Very shortly there will be a download facility too, for some new audio work. Not least of all a children’s story BEWARE THE GOBLIN MEN, (written by moi) which will be released in hard copy later this year.

Between now and the next blog… try and stay dry! My sympathy to all of you affected by the floods, hopefully we are through the worst, and you can start getting your lives back.

May 2014 bring all love and peace.
